Why Conveyor and Transfer Systems?
FSI’s Power and Free Conveyor Systems combine the benefits of traditional power conveyors (for moving products) with the flexibility of overhead trolleys (for product routing). Here’s how they work:
- Power Track: A continuous track that moves at a constant speed. This track is powered by a chain or roller system and continuously circulates throughout the facility.
- Free Track: Attached to the power track – where products are hung or placed. This free track can be stopped, started, or changed in direction independently of the power track.
- Product Carriers: Products to be finished are loaded onto carriers that run on the free track. They can be customized to hold different types of products and may have special features like hooks, fixtures, or trays.
- Routing Control: The flexibility of the system comes from the ability to control the movement of carriers on the free track. The system can stop, move forward, move backward, or switch tracks, allowing for various processes to be applied.
